About Interest Subsidy on Loans for Agriculture and Allied Activities
The Department of Fisheries, Government of Goa, runs the scheme “Interest Subsidy on Loans for Agriculture and Allied Activities”. Bonafide agriculturists and people working in the animal husbandry sector/ fisheries sector in Goa can get a loan of up to ₹ 5,00,000 for Agriculture and Allied Activities. Applications are taken offline only.

Applicants must own or lease a registered fishing vessel/boat, hold the fishing licence/permission for estuaries and sea, carry out fish farming/mariculture in estuaries and open sea, and take part in other state-specific fisheries and allied activities.

Interest Subsidy on Short-Term Loans
Interest Subsidy on Short-Term Loans: farmers who repay on time get 4%.
Interest Subsidy on Long-Term Loans
Interest Subsidy on Long-Term Loans: the gap between a 4% rate and the normal rate eligible Banks charge under their policies is covered, up to a ceiling of 8%.
