About Interest Free Loan (CBOCWWB)
The Chandigarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (CBOCWWB), Labour Department, Chandigarh, began the “Interest Free Loan” scheme. It allows construction workers registered with the Board to borrow without interest to buy items such as a Fridge, Television/ LCD, Motor Cycle/Scooter, Cooler, Fan & Bicycle.

Motorcycle /scooter: a loan of ₹25000/- can be taken, repaid over 20 equal installments.
Fridge
Fridge: workers can borrow ₹15000/-, returned in 15 equal installments.
Television/ LCD
Television/ LCD: ₹15000/- is available, with repayment in 15 equal installments.
Cooler
Cooler: the loan is ₹7500/-, cleared in 10 equal installments.
Fan
Fan: up to ₹2500/- may be borrowed, payable in 10 equal installments.
Bicycle
Bicycle: ₹4000/- is lent, recovered over 10 equal installments.
