Run by the Spices Board under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, and following the Modalities and Scheme Guidelines cleared by the Competent Authority for the “Integrated Scheme for Export Promotion and Quality Improvement in Spices and Research and Development of Cardamom” during the 15th Finance Commission period (2021–22 to 2025–26), the Rain Water Harvesting Structure Scheme gives financial assistance to growers expanding irrigated and developed land through rainwater harvesting structures. It aims to boost small cardamom’s productivity and quality.
