The “Organic Certification Groups” scheme under Spices Board India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, follows the Modalities and Scheme Guidelines cleared by the Competent Authority under the “Integrated Scheme for Export Promotion & Quality Improvement in Spices and Research and Development of Cardamom” during the 15th Finance Commission period (2021–22 to 2025–26). It helps farmer groups and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) secure organic certification for their farms — a prerequisite for marketing and exporting organic spices.
