About Griha Lakshmi Scheme
Karnataka’s Department of Women and Child Development runs “Griha Lakshmi” to empower women who head their households by giving them financial help. Eligible women get ₹2,000/- every month to meet household costs and live better. The scheme covers women named as head of the family on the ration card, whether the family holds a Below Poverty Line (BPL) or Above Poverty Line (APL) card.
