How to Apply

Offline Application

Applicants can apply for Grant of Subsidy for Purchase of 'Electric Vehicles' to Consumers in State of Goa through the offline application process outlined below.

📋

Application Process

How benefits under the "Scheme for Promotion of Electric Vehicles in the State of Goa" are applied for and paid out depends on the way the Electric Vehicle (EV) is acquired.

Disbursement Through Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL)

When a consumer buys the Electric Vehicle from Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), the financing is structured to lower the upfront cost.
Upfront Reduction: CESL will "club the incentives" available under the Central Government's Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME)-II scheme (as applicable) together with the State Government's proposed subsidy and the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) contribution.
Purpose: Combining these incentives is meant specifically "to reduce the upfront cost of the vehicle to the consumer".
Loans: Low-cost loans for buying the Electric Vehicle are also offered to consumers by CESL.
Condition: This financial assistance and upfront cost reduction is only available when the vehicle is bought directly from CESL.

Disbursement Through Direct Purchase/Conversion (State Subsidy)

A consumer who chooses to buy the Electric Vehicle "directly from dealer and avail benefits from Government of Goa" will not receive CESL's financial assistance.
In that case (and also when an existing vehicle is converted), the State subsidy is paid to the beneficiary once purchase and registration conditions have been fulfilled.
Disbursement Pattern: Payment is made "in a single installment to the beneficiary concerned i.e. 100% on purchase/conversion of the vehicle".
Documentation Requirement: The beneficiary receives this payment upon "production of documents of purchase/conversion i.e. copy of Registration Certificate book and Insurance".

Scrapping Incentive

Where the EV's registered owner claims the Scrapping Incentive, it is reimbursed only after the Regional Transport Office (RTO) confirms that the old Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicle has been scrapped and de-registered.

Ensure all required documents are ready before starting the application process.
