About FOCUS Scheme (Farmers Collectivization For Upscaling Production and Marketing System)
Among the flagship programmes of the Planning Department, Government of Meghalaya, is the FOCUS Scheme (Farmer’s Collectivization for Upscaling Production and Marketing Systems). It gives Agriculture and Agri-allied Producer Groups (PGs) a yearly cash benefit of between ₹50,000 and ₹1,00,000. A PG can have 10 to 20 members, and the money is paid straight into the PG’s bank account by Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
