About Financial Assistance to SC Students Appearing in the Mains Examination of UPSC
The Directorate of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Government of Assam, runs the ‘Financial Assistance to SC students appearing in the Mains Examination of UPSC’ scheme, offering grants to Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates who have qualified for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Mains Examination. Subject to budgetary provisions, every eligible beneficiary may get up to ₹50,000/-. The grant is released only if the applicant meets the prescribed eligibility conditions and submits all required documents successfully.
Applications can be submitted on the myScheme platform between 04/07/2025 and 31/10/2025. Applying requires a DigiLocker account; the Application Process section explains how.
