Under the scheme “Financial Assistance for Encouraging Worker’s Children’s Participation in Sports Activities”, implemented by the Haryana Labour Welfare Board (HLWB), Labour Department, Government of Haryana, children of workers in the state’s industrial and commercial establishments are given money for competing in sports events, so that they too can develop into skilled sportspersons.
