About Coir Vikas Yojana- Export Market Promotion Scheme
The Coir Board runs the Central Sector “Export Market Promotion Scheme” to lift the export performance of India’s coir sector through a mix of activities – sponsoring trade delegations, backing participation in seminars and conferences, arranging presence at international fairs, running generic publicity overseas, funding Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and exporters, and handing out annual Coir Industry Awards that recognise standout performance in exports, domestic trade, R&D, and how units/societies function. Everything runs per the approved Export Market Promotion Guidelines.

The enterprise/exporter must not have been charged, debarred, prosecuted, or blacklisted under the Government of India's Foreign Trade Policy or by the Coir Board. Note: Where the Coir Board has already paid financial assistance for the same purpose, that amount gets deducted from the eligible assistance, and only the balance is paid.

Delegation, Consultancy & Information Support
Delegation, Consultancy & Information Support: Covers business delegations, expert consultancy, and access to relevant market information.
Training & Capacity Building: Backs participation in international seminars, conferences, and export-focused training.
International Promotion Activities: Helps fund participation in international fairs, product promotion events, catalogue shows, and buyer-seller meets for coir products.
Publicity Abroad: Funds various publicity activities to promote coir products in overseas markets.
Market Development Assistance: Supports exploring and building new international markets for coir products.
Coir Industry Awards: Recognises and rewards excellence across the coir industry.
Support for International Exhibitions & Trade Fairs: Covers costs of participating in exhibitions and trade fairs at home and abroad, including:

1. Space Rent: Full reimbursement, capped at ₹1,00,000/- or the actual rent paid, whichever is lower. 1. Airfare: Full reimbursement of economy-class airfare for one representative, capped at ₹1,50,000/- abroad and ₹1,00,000/- within India, or the actual fare, whichever is lower. 1. Freight Charges: Reimbursement of actual charges, capped at ₹25,000/- abroad and ₹20,000/- within India, per exporter/enterprise.
