About Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Affected Livelihood Support Scheme

On 6th July 2021, the Dept. of Social Welfare, Govt. of Manipur, approved the guidelines of the “Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Affected Livelihood Support Scheme”. The COVID-19 Pandemic and the economic disruption that followed badly hit the earnings of a large share of people, particularly vulnerable groups such as daily wage earners and those who have no steady income or savings to rely on. These groups need extra direct income support. The scheme covers people domiciled in Manipur whose livelihood suffered because of the pandemic to the point that they cannot keep up a basic minimum standard of living. Each family may have only one beneficiary, who must be the chief earning member and must work in the informal sector.
