The “Chief Ministergi Artistessingi Tengbang – Assistance to the Cultural Group for Training with New Production” scheme of the Department of Art and Culture, Govt. of Manipur, gives funding to registered cultural groups that tirelessly train young people through new productions, thereby enriching the state’s traditions, art forms and culture.

In Visual Art, Research & Book Publication, and Instrument / Costume Making, individual artists/writers/artisans with sound knowledge of their field are eligible. Research & Book Publication must relate to Manipuri culture, including translation of (a) old manuscripts into modern Manipuri language only and (b) books on art & culture in other languages into Manipuri language, for use as reference. Method of Selection: Artists and groups are chosen by a Screening / Selection Committee formed by the Government.
