Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana
About Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana
Objective In line with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the mission’s central goal is to double the income of farmers. CMSGUY: The Way Ahead If growth continues at its present pace, doubling farm income in Assam would take roughly 80 years, and routine government measures alone cannot solve this. CMSGUY therefore proposes large-scale investment in rural areas, carried out in a focused and coordinated way over five years, to fully empower rural communities and achieve the goal of doubling farm income.
The plan is to follow a ‘saturation model’, reaching every revenue village with targeted interventions in
1. Direct economic activities, 1. Logistics support, including links to markets, and 1. Support for the community.
These targeted interventions cover nine key areas, each with its own sub-mission:
1. Fishery Mission, 1. Milk Mission, 1. Organic Mission, 1. Land Management and Conservation Mission, 1. Sericulture, Khadi and Cottage Industry Mission, 1. Road and Broadband connectivity, 1. Semi-Processing, Processing and Market Linkages, 1. “Youth-Yoga-Sports” Mission and 1. e-Gram Mission, which will set up Village Knowledge Centres by strengthening the traditional Namghar and other community institutions
