About Buffalo Entrepreneurship Development Scheme
The Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department, Government of Odisha introduced the “Buffalo Entrepreneurship Development Scheme” to raise livestock productivity, particularly for marginalised farmers, entrepreneurs or SHG members from the General, SC, ST categories, SHG members, PWD, Women, and Transgender persons in Odisha. All 30 districts of the State fall under the scheme.
Implementation: The Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Odisha, Cuttack carried out the scheme via the Chief District Veterinary Officers & their field staff.

Benefits Provided
Buffalo Entrepreneurship Development Scheme provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
Subsidy Payment for beneficiary opted for Shed:
1st Phase
— Time: once the shed is built, the 1st milch graded Murrah she Buffalo is bought & its insurance is completed (50% of the subsidy amount); SC/ST/Women/PwD/ Transgender: ₹59,100/-; General: ₹49,250/-
2nd Phase
— Time: once the 2nd milch graded Murrah she Buffalo is bought & its insurance is completed (50% of the subsidy amount); SC/ST/Women/PwD/ Transgender: ₹59,100/-; General: ₹49,250/- Subsidy Payment for beneficiary not opted for Shed:
1st Phase
— Time: on buying 1 milch graded Murrah she Buffalo & completing its insurance for 3 years (50% of the subsidy amount); SC/ST/Women/PwD/ Transgender: ₹44,700/-; General: ₹37,250/-
2nd Phase
— Time: on buying the 2nd milch graded Murrah she Buffalo & completing its insurance for 3 years (50% of the subsidy amount); SC/ST/Women/PwD/ Transgender: ₹44,700/-; General: ₹37,250/- NOTE: Beneficiaries receive a back-ended subsidy of 60% if they are from the SC, ST, PWD, Women & Transgender categories, and 50% if they are from the General category. The subsidy is paid into the beneficiary's bank account by DBT in 2 phases.

How to Apply
Online Application
Applicants can apply for Buffalo Entrepreneurship Development Scheme through the online application process outlined below.
Application Process
Registration Process: Step-01: Open the Go-Sugam Portal. Step-02: Under the "Apply Button", select “Register Now”. Step-03: Complete the mandatory fields on the registration page (Name, Email, Mobile Number, Address, and Password) and press "Register". Login credentials are then sent to the applicant's registered Email ID / Mobile Number. Application Process: Step-01: Go to the Go-Sugam Portal. Step-02: Open “Scheme & Services” and choose the scheme by name. Step-03: Press “Apply” and sign in. Step-04: Complete every mandatory field on the application page and upload the required documents in the specified file size and file type. After a successful submission, an Application Reference ID is issued to the applicant. Check Application Status: Step-01: Select the “Track Status” link in the menu. Step-02: Key in the Application ID or Mobile Number to view the status of the application.
