How to Apply
Offline Application
Applicants can apply for Bhesaj Krishi Vikas Yojana (Herbal Cultivation Programme) through the offline application process outlined below.
Application Process
Through a training camp, the District Bhesaj Coordinator of the Bhesaj Vikas Ikai picks residents of notified villages/pattis in the selected development block who are ready to work as a cluster (10 farmers drawn from 2–3 villages) and want to grow herbs that suit the local climate and altitude. A cluster-wise list of those chosen goes to headquarters so that saplings can be requisitioned under the action plan. These participants are then assured of saplings from chosen nurseries during July–August (rainy season), in line with the five-nali norm.
Next, the District Bhesaj Coordinator gets the planted saplings registered with the Herbal Research and Development Institute, Gopeshwar. Three months ahead of harvest, the District Bhesaj Coordinator provides a free challan for selling the grown species to any market or pharmacy.
