About Bed & Breakfast/Homestay Scheme- Punjab

Through the “Bed & Breakfast/Homestay Scheme”, the Department of Tourism & Cultural Affairs, Government of Punjab seeks to offer comfortable Bed & Breakfast (BnB)/Home Stay Facilities and to add to the accommodation stock throughout the State. Fully functional rooms in privately owned properties are registered by the Department of Tourism as Bed & Breakfast/Homestay units within the State of Punjab. The central idea is to give foreign and Indian tourists a clean, reasonably priced place to stay, while letting them get to know Punjab’s cultural heritage. > Bed & Breakfast Unit:

In Punjab, a Bed & Breakfast (BnB) unit usually means a privately owned house that has one or more guest rooms available for letting and that serves its guests breakfast. > Homestay:

A Homestay offers accommodation alone, without breakfast. Even so, the Homestay owner can provide breakfast if a guest asks for it, at charges agreed between both sides.
