About Award Winning Tiatr Festival
Introduced by the Tiatr Academy, which functions under the Art, Culture and Museums Department, Government of Goa, the “Award Winning Tiatr Festival” sets out to bring prize-winning tiatrs to a wider audience. Every year, a festival is held featuring tiatrs that secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in various competitions, staged across different Talukas of Goa at venues chosen by the Tiatr Academy of Goa. Directors/producers are paid a financial remuneration for putting up their award-winning productions, and where no furnished auditorium exists, the scheme also pays service providers who set up the stage, lights, sound etc. To apply, one must be the director/producer of a tiatr placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the specified competitions, and self-attested copies of the Aadhaar and Permanent Account Number Card have to accompany the application. Implementation rests with the Tiatr Academy of Goa, and applications are received offline only.
