The Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy, Haridwar, working under the Department of Sanskrit Education, Government of Uttarakhand, runs the scheme “Akhil Bhartiya Sanskrit Kavi Sammelan”. It seeks to spread and popularise Sanskrit language and literature by encouraging poets who write and recite verse in Sanskrit.

Applicants can apply for Akhil Bhartiya Sanskrit Kavi Sammelan through the offline application process outlined below.
Application Process
To mark national and state festivals, the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy holds the Kavi Sammelan. The programme coordinator draws up a list of eminent Sanskrit poets from schools, colleges and universities throughout the country, which is sent to the competent authority for approval. From the approved list, poets recommended by the Secretary of the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy receive invitations to recite their work.
