🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Clerk (Legal): Law graduate (LLB).
Clerk (Accounts): Commerce graduate, or graduate with Statistics / Mathematics / Accounts as a subject (as per department rules).
Clerk (IT): Graduate in Computer Application / IT / Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or B.Tech CS / B.Sc IT / BCA / graduate with PGDCA (as per department rules).
Driver: Matric pass + valid licence for light and heavy vehicles + 3 years' driving experience.
All clerk posts: must clear a competitive test and a Punjabi & English typing test at 30 wpm.
All posts: Matric with Punjabi as a compulsory/elective subject (Punjab Civil Services Rules, Rule 17).
Age Limit
18 to 37 years (as on 01 Jan 2026) for General category
Age Relaxation
SC/BC of Punjab: up to 42 years; State/Central Government employees: up to 45 years; PwD of Punjab: up to 47 years; widows/divorcees and certain married women: up to 40 years; ex-servicemen as per Punjab rules.
