🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university; and Certificate of Competency as Marine Engineer Officer Class-1 (Steam/Motor/Combined) under the Merchant Shipping Act; and at least 5 years' experience after the first certificate of competency (sea-going vessels, classification societies, shipyards, shipping companies, maritime boards, DG Shipping etc.), including at least 1 year as Chief Engineer / 2nd Engineer on a foreign-going ship; basic computer knowledge as per Gujarat rules; adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
