About Laptop-e Scheme
Introduced by the Directorate of Education, Government of Goa, the “Laptop-e Scheme” gives students their own portable computer systems (Laptops). Its goal is to boost learning and knowledge-building through Information Technology tools such as the Internet, CD-ROMs, and DVDs, while making the fullest use of school teaching infrastructure. Students apply through the Head of the Institution in which they are studying.

Processing and Government Approval
After processing the application and completing all formalities, the Government finalizes tenders and sends supply orders to the various suppliers.
Receive Portable Computer System
Students benefit as soon as the Government approves, though disbursement hinges on fund availability. Suppliers are instructed to deliver the Laptops or Notebooks immediately to students at higher secondaries throughout the state.
Provide Valid Receipt of Computer System Received
Once the portable computer system is received, the student, parent, or guardian has to give the Education Department a valid receipt for it through the respective Head of the Institute.
