To tackle the key problem of linking farmers’ produce with remunerative and sustainable markets in a transparent and effective way, the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of Meghalaya introduced the “Integrated Technology Enabled Agriculture Management System Or iTEAMS”. Its facilitation service, iTEAM Dial 1917, helps farmers with the following:
- Physical Connectivity to Markets on a 12/6 basis.
- Reaching input suppliers and bidders.
- Customised advice on crops, Package of practices, Animal Health Care, etc.
- Guaranteed logistics and Transport solutions priced at 0.20/kg/km.
- Livelihood opportunities by leasing an Agri Response Vehicle.
