About Financial Incentive to SC Meritorious Boy Students
Under the ‘Financial Incentive to SC Meritorious Boy Students’ scheme, run by the Directorate of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Government of Assam, high-achieving boys from Scheduled Castes (SC) receive monetary support. Students who scored 80% or more in the HSSLC examination qualify. The aim is to inspire SC boys to continue into higher education and, through a meaningful incentive, help bring them to academic parity with the wider population. Support depends on meeting the eligibility conditions and successfully uploading the required documents. Students approved by the Selection Committee are paid an incentive of ₹5,000/-.
