About Award of ₹20,000/- to Best Writers
Through the “Award of ₹20,000/- to Best Writers” scheme, the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, Tamil Nadu, celebrates and encourages literary talent among the Adi Dravidar, Tribal, and Adi Dravidar Christian-converted communities. Ten writers from these communities are picked for a cash prize, and one further writer from any other community is also selected.

Benefits Provided

Cash Prize: Every selected writer (10 from Adi Dravidar/Tribal communities and one from other communities) receives ₹20,000/-.
Recognition: The chosen writers are honoured by the state for their contribution to literature.
