Additional Subsidy to Establish Tourism Projects in Distant and New Ulterior Areas
About Additional Subsidy to Establish Tourism Projects in Distant and New Ulterior Areas
Madhya Pradesh’s Tourism Department launched the “Additional Subsidy to Establish Tourism Projects in Distant and New Ulterior Areas” scheme to encourage tourism infrastructure in the state’s remote, accessible and underdeveloped regions through better financial incentives. It grants an extra 5% Capital Investment Subsidy above normal policy rates, does away with the upper limit on subsidy, and substantially eases the minimum investment and room count conditions for qualifying projects. The project has to be set up at a site the Tourism Department has specifically classified as a “distant” or “ulterior” area. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board implements the scheme, and applications are taken through the state’s investment portal.
