About “Input Assistance to Farmers for Taking up Fish Farming in Farm Ponds” Component of the “Mukhyamantri Maschyajibi Kalyan Yojana” Scheme
Launched by the Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department, Government of Odisha, the “Input Assistance to Farmers for Taking up Fish Farming in Farm Ponds” component of the “Mukhyamantri Maschyajibi Kalyan Yojana” aims to boost inland fish output and raise farmers’ incomes across the state through aquaculture. It offers input support to farmers who dug farm ponds under MGNREGA, helping them raise fingerlings and fish. The Directorate of Fisheries carries out the scheme in Odisha through its field staff.
