About Scheme of Human Resources Development in Sports: Publication of Outstanding Works on Sports Related Subjects
Running under the 2022-23 to 2025-26 phase of the Department of Sports’ Scheme of Human Resources Development in Sports (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports), the “Publication of Outstanding Works on Sports Related Subjects” component funds the publication of quality sports literature, journals, e-publications, online content, and web-based applications, in order to spread sports knowledge, research, and awareness. Eligible recipients include publishing houses, web companies, reputed organizations, authors, content developers, and app developers whose output meaningfully advances the sports sector. Beyond individual publications, it supports the wider dissemination of sports information, the building of online learning resources, and the exchange of ideas among sports stakeholders, with proposals vetted through a structured Department of Sports appraisal and approval process.

Benefits Provided
Scheme of Human Resources Development in Sports: Publication of Outstanding Works on Sports Related Subjects provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:

Financial assistance up to 50% of the publication cost.
Maximum Assistance for Publications:
Capped at ₹5,00,000/- per publication.
Journal Assistance:
Up to ₹5,00,000/- per journal, for a period not exceeding 3 years.
E-Publication Support:
Assistance extends to e-publications and digital sports content.
Online Content Development:
Financial support covers developing and hosting sports-related online content.
Sports Application Development:
Assistance is available for building web-based sports applications.
Sports Knowledge Dissemination:
Support covers publication of technical and educational sports literature.
