About Promotion of Exportable surplus of identified spices in NE: Cultivation of Lakadong turmeric (Ha)
Run by the Spices Board, India, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, the “Promotion of Exportable Surplus of Identified Spices in the North East: Cultivation of Lakadong Turmeric (Ha)” scheme supports export-oriented cultivation of Lakadong turmeric by covering 50% of the cost of planting material, up to a maximum of ₹30,000 per Ha, for turmeric growers of the North East holding between 0.10 Ha and 8 Ha of land. It operates per the modalities and scheme guidelines approved by the Competent Authority for implementation of the “Integrated Scheme for Export Promotion & Quality Improvement in Spices and Research and Development of Cardamom” during the 15th Finance Commission period (2021–22 to 2025–26), under the component Export Oriented Production.
