About Construction of Hostels for OBC Boys and Girls
Since 1998-99, the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, has run the Centrally Sponsored “Construction of Hostels for OBC Boys and Girls” scheme, building hostel facilities that let OBC students keep up their education. It targets students from rural, remote, or economically weak families working toward secondary and higher studies, with hostel proposals for undergraduate students taking priority over those for students below undergraduate level.
