The Branch Office staff, under the Branch Manager's supervision, verifies your details in the system, which calculates your eligibility and the relief amount owed based on your contribution history and other records. The relief is then paid into your bank account. Mode of payment: 1. ABVKY relief is transferred electronically to the IP's bank account by the Branch Office. 2. If the IP dies, the relief is paid to their nominee/legal heir via account-payee cheque only, following Paras P.3.79.1 to P.3.81 of the Branch Office Manual. 3. Bank account details in the ESIC database are a precondition for claiming relief; if these are missing or the IP has switched accounts, the Branch Manager can authenticate the new account using a cancelled cheque leaf or passbook bearing the claimant's name, submitted along with the claim.
