About AICTE-PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SCHEME
AICTE set up the Professional Development Scheme to fund regular faculty at AICTE-approved institutes, as well as AICTE officers serving on a regular or deputation basis, so they can present research papers at international conferences held abroad or within India.
Objectives: The scheme lets deserving faculty and AICTE officers engage at the international level and stay current with global developments in their specialisation by presenting papers at conferences abroad or within India.

Benefits Provided
AICTE-PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SCHEME provides the following benefits to eligible applicants:
Funding Ceiling: Up to ₹ 1,50,000/-
How Funds Are Released:
The grant is paid out as reimbursement once a claim form and supporting documents are received. The total amount depends on which country group the destination falls under:
Group A: North America, Australia, South America, New Zealand — ₹ 1,50,000/-
Group B: Europe, Far-East Asia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and Africa — ₹ 1,20,000/-
Group C: Neighbouring countries, Gulf countries, and SE Asia — ₹ 1,00,000/-
Group D: Within India — ₹ 50,000/-
Group E: Conferences not covered by Groups A–D are assessed by committee, using either the amount recommended for the relevant country group or the average of experts' recommendations,

Note:
A candidate who has already used the Group D grant can still claim international support (within a three-year window), minus whatever was used for domestic travel.
If the conference/workshop/seminar is held online, AICTE will only cover the registration fee.
Terms and conditions:
Travel must be by Air India unless Air India certifies that no flight exists on that route (whether operated by Air India alone or jointly with another carrier). If another airline is used instead, the approved airfare will not be paid.
Only one proposal may be submitted at a time.
If an application for a specific event, date, and venue is rejected, it will not be reconsidered, and no further correspondence on it will be entertained.
The grant may only be used for the purpose it was sanctioned for.
Applications must be submitted three months in advance.
